Emergency Dental Care

Many dental emergencies can be reduced with regular care at your primary dentist by catching problems while they are small.  If you have been recently referred to our office, your primary care office is the best resource for treatment since they have your health information.  We do not provide routine dental emergency treatment for patients who are not under our care.

If you have a dental emergency after treatment in our office, please call our office 860-649-5000.  We have a live answering service 24/7 so your message can reach us even if we are on the phone with another patient during office hours or if you need us evenings or weekends.

If you feel the emergency is a life threat call 911 or go to the emergency room.

We are here to help you. When your dental health is at risk, we will do everything we can to make sure that you're treated as soon as possible including working with your primary dentist. While dental emergencies are rare, they can happen, and it's important to know how to take care of your teeth no matter what. Common dental emergencies include:

  • Broken or cracked tooth/teeth
  • Broken jaw
  • Permanent tooth knocked out
  • Object caught between teeth
  • Severe toothache
  • Swelling from dental infection & inflamation
